| Introduction |
The peridinin-chlorophyll-protein complex (PerCP) is isolated from dinoflagellates of the genus Peridinium. PerCP exhibits extremely high absorbance, high quantum efficiency, and a large Stokes shift. It has a strong excitation peak at 482 nm and its maximum emission peak is at 677 nm. This protein is commonly used in fluorescent immuno-labeling, particularly in applications involving fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS). |
